Job summary

As a Sexual Offence Nurse Examiner, you will play a critical role in our multidisciplinary team, providing assessments and evidence that inform legal outcomes. Our Examiners are pivotal in ensuring high-quality care and evidential integrity for both children and adults who have been exposed to sexual violence.

Competitive salary of £42,000 per annum starting salary with full training given, rising to £45,000 once certain qualifications and training have been achieved.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform holistic, forensic clinical assessments for children, young people, and adults who experienced sexual assault, with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Interact sensitively, ensuring a trauma-informed approach to care supporting self-referrals along with police referrals.
  • Uphold the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality in documentation and evidence handling.
  • Co-produce individual management plans tailored to the needs of each client.
  • Provide testimony in court, contributing to the integrity of legal proceedings.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development as part of our Novice to Expert programme.
  • Lead initiatives, mentor peers, and engage in programmes designed to enhance professional skills and service delivery, including our partners.
