Job summary
Clinicians working with ADHD360 will be part of a dedicated team, committed to patient excellence and are expected to deliver treatment with passion, ownership and commitment. As an integral part of our organisation, The ADHD Clinician will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating and monitoring treatment plans. You will possess a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting, providing essential services to individuals seeking support for ADHD.
Main duties of the job
Assess and diagnose ADHD in children and young people, considering co-occurring conditions. Use clinical expertise to make safe treatment decisions and take responsibility for diagnoses within your competence, supported by supervision. Prescribe and manage medication in line with guidelines, including monitoring physical health (e.g. height, weight, blood pressure, pulse) and adjusting treatment as needed.
Provide ongoing support through regular follow-ups until patients reach stability and optimal outcomes. Conduct risk and safeguarding assessments throughout care. Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure prescriptions meet legal, safety, and organisational standards, including secure handling and quality assurance processes.
Participate in supervision, team discussions, and continuous professional development. Report incidents and contribute to a culture of safety, learning, and service improvement.

Job responsibilities
- Evaluate children, and young people for ADHD, considering potential co-occurring conditions to inform diagnostic decisions.
- Apply clinical judgment and experience to make treatment decisions, utilising advanced skills and knowledge in managing ADHD in children and young people.
- Exercise independent professional responsibility for diagnostic decision-making within competence, whilst receiving monthly supervision from Team Leads.
- You will practice as a medical or non-medical prescriber (independent/supplementary prescribing) to develop and implement treatment and titration plans, ensuring physical observations are obtained and reviewed (height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse) ensuring treatment decisions are safe and in accordance with NICE guidelines and organisational policies.
- You will support the patient throughout their treatment journey, conducting regular follow ups for children under your care until they have reached stability and optimisation.
- Perform patient risk assessments and review safeguarding needs in conjunction with treatment strategies during the patient journey. ADHD360 have patients across the life-span and we must always be aware of our responsibilities regarding the safeguarding of children in our care.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records on Chrysalis and associated clinical templates, adhering to professional requirements for accurate record keeping.
- Responsibility for ensuring that the prescription is written as per legal requirements for controlled and non-controlled drugs. You will ensure that the prescription is recorded in the Chrysalis Log and the Quality Assurance Process is followed line with ADHD360 policy and procedures.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding and adherence to security in relation to prescription security and management.
- Participate in regular line management supervision, supervised assessments, appraisals and team meetings/case discussions.
- You will be responsible for recognising and reporting clinical Incidents and near misses to your team lead, to support the culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will be responsive to requests from Clinical Assurance and Patient Experience team to participate in investigations where required.
- Be accountable for ensuring that mandatory training and clinical supervision is completed and sustains independent prescribing status. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is expected, and the post holder should expect to have responsibility for their learning whilst also engaging in CPD events provided by ADHD360.
