Support Worker - Supported Living

Location: Medway, Birmingham and Lancashire

Hours: 36 hours per week

Contract: Full time and part time permanent roles available

Time4U Group is recruiting Support Workers to join our Supported Living services in Medway, Birmingham and Lancashire, supporting adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities.

This is a hands-on Support Worker role providing person centred care within the community and supported accommodation settings.

If you have experience in supported living, mental health, learning disabilities or health and social care, we would like to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities:

Supporting adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities

Assisting with personal care where required

Supporting with medication in line with care plans

Promoting independence and daily living skills

Encouraging community engagement and social inclusion

Maintaining accurate care records

Following safeguarding and risk management procedures

Requirements:

Previous experience in supported living, mental health or social care preferred

Understanding of person centred care

Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

Right to work in the UK required

Full UK driving licence desirable

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

• Experience working in health and social care, supported living, domiciliary care, or a similar care environment
• Experience supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities
• Experience working with vulnerable adults while maintaining dignity, respect and confidentiality
• Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
• Experience working as part of a team while also being able to work independently

Desirable

• Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or complex needs
• Previous experience within supported living or community based care services
• Experience recording care notes and maintaining accurate documentation
• Experience supporting individuals to access community activities and appointments
