Job summary

Medicare EMS are welcoming applications for a full-time resource coordinator to work on our team. You will be working alongside our event and racing teams to plan our event and horse racing fixtures across the year, ensuring that the correct number of clinicians and skill levels are planned to attend our prestigious events.

The post holder will work as part of our support team at our Head Office in Chelmsford. You will be responsible for monitoring our event and horse racing activity across the company which has a national portfolio. The post holder must have the ability to priorities, organise and manage the expectations of our clients to ensure the correct staffing profile is allocated to each event/fixture.

The post holder will have the option to attend our Academy to become a qualified first responder should they wish to attend any of our events.

  • Ensure scheduling assurance and appropriate selection of clinicians to increase utilisation across our event and horse racing contracts.
  • Manage changes of event dates and/or horse racing fixtures to accommodate the needs of our client.
  • Manage short notice changes of the availability of our clinical workforce as and when required.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of each event profile and the medical team required by each venue.
  • Ensure that all booking information is accurate collated and recored within our bespoke rostering system.
  • Be accountable for the planning of an event and communicate with the appropriate manager effectively should you encounter any issues.
  • Liaise with the operational management teams for the venue and horse racing to communicate any staffing changes or challenges you may face.
  • Attend weekly planning meetings to review the forecast for the week.
  • Be vigilant to the movement of the workforce to ensure the WTD is maintain.

  • Experience of a range of work including involvement in creating complex rotas and schedules.
  • Good understanding of client engagement and customer service.
  • Good understanding of team based working.
  • Good understanding of data collection and requirements and participation in the formulation of data collection.

Qualifications

  • GSCE grade A to C in English and Maths
  • Excellent IT literacy including the use of outlook, excel, word etc.
  • Ability to communicate with a team and engage with our workforce.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional whilst working in a busy environment.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise a number of complex activities and multiple events occurring on the same day.
  • Ability to priorities workload and meet deadlines using your own initiative.
  • Clear DBS and reliable work record.
  • Ability to work in a methodical and systematic way.

Desirable

  • Previous experience managing scheduling or resource coordination.
  • FREC 3 qualification
