Job summary

The Peripatetic NMP is a prescriber across the breadth of Delphi Medical services. They will prescribe within HMP services, community substance misuse services, and the Pavilion inpatient and outpatient detox services.

NMPs enhance patient care by supporting timely access to treatment with medicines.

Main duties of the job

Accept professional and clinical accountability for prescribing practice, working at all times within registered prescribing rights, clinical competence and with reference to their regulatory bodies professional standards.

Client interaction- in all our services meeting clients to assess need and agreeing their personalised clinical care.

Multi-disciplinary meetings- When reviewing clients clinical needs a multi-disciplinary approach will support clients to agree person centered care plans.

Work closely with SLT colleagues, service leads and provide cross business support and sharing of information.

Work across sites prescribing face to face and remotely.

Provide expert clinical advice to support Delphi to lead the way.

Review clinical records

Empower and support the inclusion of a workplace program for student NMPS and nurses.

Engage with Delphi prescribers through regular and effective peer supervision.

Prepare and be present for CQC inspections.

Always maintain high quality records and documentation associated with client care.

Highlight and create opportunities to improve patient care and work with colleagues to move improvements forward.

Promote and develop the reputation of Delphi and the Calico Group through the development of external relationships

Promote integration within the Group at all levels, representing Delphi at meetings and events.

Support dispensing of controlled and non-controlled drugs to meet the clients physical support needs.

Qualifications

  • Current full registration with NMC or General Pharmaceutical council.
  • -RCGP Part 2 certificate in the management of substance misuse in general practice.
  • -At least three years experience in an equivalent treatment environment.
  • -Have or the ability to pass HMP vetting.
  • -Full UK driving licence.
  • Detailed knowledge of controlled drug prescribing.
  • -Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, and the ability to motivate.
  • -Ability to work effectively and autonomously, managing multiple priorities and priorities workload.
  • -Ability to interpret national policy and initiatives.
  • -Personal and professional credibility to inspire trust and confidence.
  • -Ability to travel between multiple sites to meet service need.
  • -Ambition, and a passion the company and client group.
