Job summary

We are seeking experienced Sonographers to join our team on a flexible weekend basis, conducting General Medical and Gynaecology ultrasound scans for our client in Bristol.This role offers the flexibility to choose your preferred working days, hours, and location, enabling you to balance work around your schedule.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform General Medical and Gynaecology ultrasound scans within an NHS hospital setting, contributing to backlog reduction.
  • Independently conduct and report ultrasound examinations, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Promote a patient-centred, multi-disciplinary approach to care in collaboration with the wider clinical team.
  • Deliver efficient and timely scanning services to support patient care pathways.

Essential

  • Hold a postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma in medical or clinical ultrasound.
  • Current and up to date state registration through a regulatory body (HCPC; NMC or GMC) or through the Register for Clinical Technologists.

Desirable

  • CASE Accreditation

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience working in the NHS performing General Medical and Gynaecology scans independently.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to carry out and report on a full range of ultrasound examinations in Gynaecology, General Abdominal and Small Parts.
