Job summary

Are you an experienced Outpatient Nurse looking to pick up extra shifts during the weekend?

Medicare are currently looking for Outpatient Nurses to work weekend shifts for our client in Cambridgeshire. We offer Flexible Contracts that allow our candidates to choose their preferred working days, hours and locality which allows them to work around their schedule. You would be working as a part of team of Medicare clinicians cpmpleting day surgery procedures. Multiple positions available!

Main duties of the job

  • Welcome patients, visitors, family members/carers and staff
  • Carry out vital observations
  • Maintain stock control
  • Careful use of equipment
  • Distribute patient feedback forms
  • Complete Medicare administration documents
  • Complete Trust administration documents
  • Maintain privacy and dignity of patients
  • Chaperoning patients as necessary
  • Communicate care to patients their family/carers
  • Escalate concerns via appropriate channels
  • Clinical governance

Experience

Essential

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience of working in the NHS.
  • Significant experience in an Outpatient Setting (at Band 5 or above level)
  • Experience of working in a Cardiology Outpatient setting

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse
  • Recognised Postgraduate Theatre Course

Skills and Aptitudes

Essential

  • Good written, numeracy and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills including some Electronic patient record IT system
  • Awareness of clinical issues within the theatre department
  • Able to work as part of a team within set boundaries
  • Able to prioritise workload
  • Able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and manage difficult situations
  • Positive and motivated with attention to detail
