Job summary

We are looking for a registered nurse who can work autonomously in a full time or part-time position.

Main duties of the job

You will be working as part of a larger team of GPs, medical consultants, physiotherapists and complementary therapists and allied health practitioners. The candidate should be an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills, who is confident to work independently and use their own initiative.

About us

At The Health Suite, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, compassionate, and proactivenurseto join our friendly, multi-disciplinary team. Our expanding CQC registered luxury private medical and wellness clinic is situated in Thurnby, Leicester. You may also be required to work at a second site within the Leicester area in the near future. Our clinic provides outpatient clinic based care for adults and children. We work closely with our specialist consultants, complementary practitioners and GPs in order to provide an exceptional standard of service and care to all our patients. Our opening hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm , Fridays 8.30am-4pm and Saturday 8.30am-1pm. We are looking for someone who can be flexible within these times. There may be occasional clinics requiring cover out of these core hours.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Valid NMC registration Adult or General
  • Experience working in a primary care or community setting
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to providing excellent, patient-centred care
  • Knowledge of current nursing best practices and clinical guidelines
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and IT systems
  • Able to show initiative and take leadership for delegated tasks
  • Ability to learn about new and innovative treatment modalities
  • Being proactive and able to work independently
  • Driving licence and car
  • Phlebotomy trained adults
  • Travel and Vaccination Clinic Experience For both adults and children
  • Diabetes patient management for both oral and injectable treatments
  • Ability to complete health checks and screenings
  • BLS and first aid trained for adults and children (we can help the right candidate with this)

Desirable

  • Experience in contraception or family planning clinics including coil and implant fittings and removal
  • Spirometry
  • Ability to take ECGs
  • Paediatric Phlebotomy
  • Experience in running sexual health clinics
  • IV cannulation
  • Experience of assisting in minor surgery
  • Wound care experience
