Job summary

We are looking for a registered nurse who can work autonomously in a full time position. You will be working as part of a larger team of GPs, medical consultants, physiotherapists and complementary therapists and allied health practitioners. The candidate should be an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills, who is confident to work independently and use their own initiative.

Essential Criteria:

Valid NMC registration (Adult / General)

Experience working in a primary care/ community setting

Excellent communication, teamwork skills

Commitment to providing excellent, patient-centred care

Knowledge of current nursing best practices and guidelines

Proficiency in using electronic health records and IT systems

Able to show initiative and take leadership for delegated tasks

Ability to learn about new and innovative treatment modalities

Being proactive and able to work independently

Driving licence and car

REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant should have:

At least 2 years experience as a fulltime nurse

Ability to have some flexibility with their working times

DBS check(we can support you to obtain this if required)

Main duties of the job

Essential Skillset

Phlebotomy trained (adults)

Travel and Vaccination Clinic Experience For both adults and children

Diabetes patient management for both oral and injectable treatments

Ability to complete health checks and screenings

Experience in contraception or family planning clinics including coil and implant fittings and removal

BLS and first aid trained for adults and children (we can help the right candidate with this)

Desirable Skillset

Spirometry

Ability to take ECGs

Paediatric Phlebotomy

Experience in running sexual health clinics

IV cannulation

Experience of assisting in minor surgery

Wound care experience

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Undertaking Clinical administrative duties:

Processing and management of laboratory samples

Liaising with laboratories and chasing results

Vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

Admin support where needed

Stock take for medication and clinic consumables

Medication monitoring

Clinical Auditing
