Main duties of the job
Patient Assessment and Management:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries, specifically those with complaints existing for less than four weeks. Manage acute cases that have not previously been assessed by a Doctor or Clinician, ensuring timely and effective care.
Clinic Operation:
- Facilitate both face-to-face and telephone assessments to accommodate diverse patient needs.
- Oversee and manage the Acute Clinics, ensuring the delivery of efficient and high-quality healthcare services.
Multi-disciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with a team of skilled professionals, including Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Advanced Paramedics, General Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners. Leverage collective expertise gained through Masters-level training and extensive experience in Emergency, Urgent, and Primary care.
Adherence to Clinical Standards
- Adhere to the highest clinical standards in patient care, following evidence-based practice and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical processes.
Professional Development:
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including training opportunities offered by Fuse Health.
- Contribute actively to the development and enhancement of clinical skills and knowledge.

Essential
- Paramedic, Nurse, Physiotherapist, or other Allied Health Professional (AHP) qualification and registration
- 3-5 years of post-registration experience
- Evidence of level 7 (MSc level) study in Advanced Practice, including patient assessment and examination modules
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Experience in urgent, primary, or emergency care
- Up-to-date clinical portfolio
Desirable
- Additional non-medical prescribing qualification
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Extensive experience in primary care
- Interest in research and service improvement
