Job summary
Innovations in Care Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Mental Health Nurse to lead on the management of our most complex client cases. This new senior position has been created in response to increasing service complexity and legal oversight requirements. You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of clinical care plans approved by the Court of Protection, ensuring all care provided is legally compliant, clinically sound, and person-centred.
You will work closely with clients, staff teams, families, and multi-disciplinary stakeholders to deliver compassionate, safe and therapeutically informed support. You will also provide clinical supervision, lead reflective practice, and contribute to staff training in key areas including physical restraint, safeguarding and positive behaviour support.

Main duties of the job
TheTherapeutic Practice Lead - Complex Mental Health & Traumais a senior specialist role responsible for overseeing the care of clients with complex mental health needs, emotional dysregulation, and personality disorder. Working within a trauma-informed, person-centred framework, the postholder ensures that clinical care plans often developed under the oversight of the Court of Protection are implemented safely and in line with legal and best practice standards.
They will liaise with external professionals, provide clinical supervision to staff, support the appropriate use of physical intervention, lead debriefs, and contribute to safeguarding processes. A key part of the role involves developing and delivering training aligned with current best practice in areas such as PBS, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care.
We are therefore seeking someone with a strong understanding of mental health legislation and a genuine passion for teaching and practice development.
