Locum PA are recruiting suitable candidates to enrol on their dedicated post-qualification training program in general practice.
We are looking for a newly qualified or experienced Physician Associate's who have passed their Physician Associate National Examination (PANE) and hold an MVR number.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very supportive team based in Reading and experience working in a diverse population cohort with a group of practices who are highly experienced in how Physician Associates work.
FOCUSED ON TEACHING:
You will also have the opportunity to attend Learning and development opportunities with Health Education England and other local teaching within the PCN, and exclusively with Locum PA, you will receive a dedicated training budget exclusively allocated to you, to attend external CPD courses.

Main duties of the job
The Physician Associate will work within their scope of clinical practice and provide first point of contact care for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems, utilising history-taking, physical examinations and clinical decision-making skills to establish a working diagnosis and management plan in partnership with the patient.
Undertake face to face, telephone and online consultations for emergency or routine problems, as determined by the Practice, including management of patients with long-term conditions. Participate in all treatment and preventative healthcare services in the Practices as delegated and agreed by the supervising GP(s), for example, Learning Disabilities Annual Health Checks.
The successful candidate will also undertake medical histories, carry out physical examinations, update records, make diagnoses, analyse test results, triage patients, and deliver treatment as appropriate. Working to a professional code of ethics you will be able to demonstrate flexibility in the role, and have a calm and caring attitude towards patients.
