IV Community Nurse

Permanent, full-time

£38,800 per annum, inclusive of car allowance, plus mileage paid on top

Working hours:We are a 7 day a week service offering 40 hours over 5 days per week on a 2 week rolling rota.

Main duties of the job

Your role as an IV Community Nurse

  • Key in facilitating a seamless discharge from hospital to home
  • Completion of home risk assessments to ensure suitability of the home for clinical procedures
  • You will be visiting patients in their own homes undertaking the administration of intravenous medications, including parenteral nutrition and outpatient antibiotic therapies
  • You will be fundamental in empowering patients/carers to train to full independence with managing their own care
  • In this role you will be responsible for advocating for your patients

Job responsibilities

Our nurses are ambassadors for Bionical Solutions, offering patient centric nursing that is tailored to the patients individual needs.

You will always provide safe nursing care adhering to the scope of service, facilitating a range of services in the home including but not limited to; HPN, IV antibiotics, SC medications.

You will build lasting relationships with patients, NHS stakeholders and other members of patients support network to aid their treatment pathway.

Accurately documenting all patient care and clinical information to enable real time data collection to ensure NHS stakeholders have visibility of patient activity in the homecare setting.

Maintain and demonstrate up to date knowledge in therapy areas working in, ensuring any gaps in clinical competency are addressed with line manager whilst also staying compliant with all business policies and procedures.

Achievement of service activity key performance indicators (KPIs) as outlined in service Nurse Guidance Document.

Work at all times within relevant regulatory and professional codes including; NMC Code, ABPI Code of Practice, Health & Social Care Act, MHRA, pharmacovigilance regulations

Demonstrate effective planning and organisation to deliver best value to patients, clients and Bionical Solutions.

Complete all Bionical Solutions and professional mandatory training according to your individual schedule, and to be completed within relevant deadlines

Ensure requirements of re-validation and registration are met to maintain professional registration

Support colleagues to ensure all work demands are met

Responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of both yourself and others, always ensuring compliance with the group Health and Safety policy

Where required, carry emergency equipment as defined in SOPs

Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed as per Bionical Solution SOPs

To undertake other duties as may be required from time to time consistent with your grade and skills

Completes all service documentation on equipment provided, to enable prompt reporting
