We are looking for an accomplished Market Access/HEMA Manager with solid experience in compiling HTA dossiers and negotiating with European payors. The ideal candidate has participated in multiple pricing meetings with payors and, ideally, taken a lead role in these interactions.

An assertive and flexible individual, the Market Access/HEMA Manager will be responsible for the commercial activities in launching our products in selected European countries and is expected to manage all phases of the process including hands-on activities such as research information to dossier submission and support during pricing negotiations. They will also provide strategic support for market launch in non-European countries.

Job responsibilities

Research & identify market access opportunities in new countries & map out pathways

Analyse market access trends/health policy changes and continuously map reimbursement requirements

Anticipate access barriers

Prepare national pricing & reimbursement files, and support listing negotiations

Identify and engage possible consultants, source quotes, and recommend consultants to management

Prepare market access briefs for third party consultants and senior management

Work in close coordination with international business development team

Manage relationships with KOLs and, Patient & Professional Associations relevant to the role

Develop countries reimbursement strategy development, submission, and maintenance.

Identify other national/regional funding options and develop them

Support regional market access strategy development including reimbursement and access environment scanning, HTA development and requirements.

Work closely with local market access consultants on value substantiation for innovative access model, e.g., Value Based Healthcare, Innovative Access models, Outcomes-Based Agreements, and Value-Based Pricing initiatives as relevant.

Gather external stakeholders insights through key strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders, societies and non-clinical stakeholders, and shape market access policies in Europe as needed.

Support with the US Clinical, HEOR & International teams for evidence generation and dissemination strategy development and execution to support access and adoption of our innovation.

Support the implementation of HEMA tools and materials, translating complex messages into simple statements that can easily be articulated by commercial team.

  • Bachelors Degree in Health Economics or Science-related field and/or demonstrable relevant experience

Experience

  • Solid experience in industry-based market access of Medical Devices including direct experience of all elements of the reimbursement process and pathways including strategy, dossier writing and submission, liaison with societies, KOLs and authorities, and negotiations with payors.

Desirable

  • Experience of Cardiology

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of funding and reimbursement mechanisms in the international regions.
  • Able to translate scientific evidence into compelling value argumentations
  • Highly analytical with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to develop relationships at all levels in an organisation
  • Comfortable & motivated by working in a matrix, international organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to build trusted working relations both internally and externally.
  • Creative, willing to try new approaches and think out-of-the-box, self-directed problem-solver, who functions well in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel up to 50% annually, dependent upon location & demands of the business
