Position:Nurse Unit Manager (RGN / RMN / RNLD)

Care home:Hillside Court.Location:St Anthonys Road, Leeds, LS11 8FG.Contract type:Day and night shifts (must be flexible), Full and part time hours available.Rate:£20.44per hour (up to £46,700 per annum - full time equivalent)

When open, Hillside Court will support adults living with complex mental health needs, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.. The new care home, located on St Anthonys Road, will open January 2024.

Main duties of the job

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • leading your units care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical and emotional needs of the people we support
  • providing strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement
  • overseeing and managing all your units clinical elements and risks
  • ensuring care plans and risk assessmentsare completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately
  • acting as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review and update of their care profiles
  • the supervision and management of your units ordering, handling,storage, administration, recordinganddisposal ofmedication.

You will work at a senior level, under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Manager, to manage a team of nursing and care colleagues, drive quality and maintain high standards of care. You will have a person centred ethos and be committed to enriching the lives of the individuals in your care.

Youll be a natural role model with the ability to manage your units team of Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates and Health Care Assistants.
