Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Associate to join Brook View, a specialist care home in Fazakerley Liverpool for adults living with complex and high acuity needs.

Brook View complex needs care home in Fazakerley, Liverpool specialises in supporting adults living with complex mental health needs, dementia, neuro-disabilities including Huntington's disease and Parkinson's disease, and spinal injuries.

Our Nurse-led team has the skills and expertise to support people with complex needs including prolonged disorders of consciousness and behaviours of concern, and those who require tracheostomies, ventilators and PEG feeding tubes.

We require a full time reliable, energetic Nurse Associate to work as part of our team. Full flexibility required across a 7 day week including 12 hour shifts.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Nursing Associate is to work as part of the nursing team, working alongside registered nurses, to deliver hands-on, person-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role holder will contribute to the ongoing assessment of service users, providing and monitoring care as agreed with supervising clinician(s).

The nursing associate monitors the condition and health needs of service users within their care in partnership with the multi-professional team. The role holder will work independently under the leadership of a Registered Nurse, within the defined service user support plans and in the scope of practice for a nursing associate set out by the NMC.

As an Exemplar Health Care Nursing Associate, you will work with like-minded colleagues, as part of a multi-disciplinary in-house team, to provide the highest standards of nursing care for our residents.

You will always be supported by an onsite nurse, and be handing over to a registered nurse at the end of your shift, so you can be assured the absolute best level of support as you embark on your nursing journey

About You:

- You will be qualified as a Nursing Associate, or due to qualify in the next 6 weeks

- You will be highly motivated and passionate about delivering high quality, compassionate care to our service users in line with our company values
