Job summary
Outpatient Network is currently seeking Band 4 Ophthalmic
Technician to support with an outpatient clinic service in Oxford.
Are you currently an Ophthalmic Technician and interested
flexible work.
We require an Ophthalmic Imaging Technician to join our team
in assisting in the delivery of a high-quality ophthalmic imaging and
diagnostic service.
Working in a friendly, modern environment you'll carry out
ophthalmic technical and imaging procedures including OCT, fundus photography,
corneal topography, spectacle focimetry, visual field testing, visual acuity
assessment, intraocular pressure testing and pupil dilatation.
Previous experience in ophthalmic imaging or an
ophthalmology setting is essential. Candidates will be expected to be
comfortable working with people and have excellent communication skills. They
should be computer literate and be familiar with database management.
Main duties of the job
To undertake an accurate assessment of visual acuity.
To work independently undertaking the assessment of vision,
focimetry & visual fields using the Humphrey automated field analyser.
To
independently undertake imaging of the eye using the Optical Coherance
Tomographer.
To independently capture images using OPTOS wide field camera.
To independently image the anterior surface using the Pentacam Oculus.
To
independently assess intra-ocular pressure using the i-Care.
To be
responsible for the maintenance of the equipment used.
To undertake administrative duties required of the job.
