Job summary

ProblemShared is seeking an experienced Autism Assessor with a core profession as a Social Worker, to join the service. We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to work in a high-performance team at a scaling health technology company and have responsibility for driving our business growth from day one.

The correct candidate will have relevant experience of carrying out remote assessments and will have a passion for what we do.

Job responsibilities

The role involves providing remote ASC assessments as part of a team of two clinicians.

One practitioner delivers the ADOS-informed assessment while the other undertakes the ADI-R.

Ability to undertake both ADOS and ADI-R is desired. MDTs are held when required with Team Leads and, where warranted, with input from our psychiatry colleagues.

Use clinical judgement and experience to make treatment decisions using highly developed skills and knowledge regarding management of adults and young people with Autism.

Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for diagnostic decision making within competence, with supervision from Team Leads.Complete risk assessments and review safeguarding needs during ongoing patient care.

Ensure accurate and timely client records are kept on the clinical platform. Reports should be written professionally and completed within expected timeframes.

Make recommendations on any additional assessments or interventions required (as appropriate) to the client within the report.

Work closely with senior leadership team on the further development of the Autism pathways.

Provide consultation and training to other members of staff to develop skills in this area of expertise.

Maintain registration with the appropriate governing body -Social Work England).

Access regular clinical supervision, management supervision, and multi-disciplinary team meetings/case discussions.

  • Current NMC, HCPC or Social Work England registration with no restrictions on practice.
  • Registered nurse or allied health professional with at least 2 years experience and knowledge of autonomously assessing and diagnosing Autism.
  • Right to work and UK home address
  • Relevant experience of carrying out remote assessments.
  • Ability to work effectively to manage own caseload.
  • Good knowledge of legislation, research and developments relevant to the field of Autism
