Job summary

ProblemShared is seeking an experienced Autism Assessor with a core profession as an Occupational Therapist to join the service. We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to work in a high-performance team at a scaling health technology company and have responsibility for driving our business growth from day one.

The correct candidate will have relevant experience of carrying out remote assessments and will have a passion for what we do.

Main duties of the job

The role involves providing remote ASC assessments as part of a team of two clinicians.

One practitioner delivers the ADOS-informed assessment while the other undertakes the ADI-R.

Ability to undertake both ADOS and ADI-R is desired. MDTs are held when required with Team Leads and, where warranted, with input from our psychiatry colleagues.

Use clinical judgement and experience to make treatment decisions using highly developed skills and knowledge regarding management of adults and young people with Autism.

Job responsibilities

Make recommendations on any additional assessments or interventions required (as appropriate) to the client within the report.

Work closely with senior leadership team on the further development of the Autism pathways.

Provide consultation and training to other members of staff to develop skills in this area of expertise.

Maintain registration with the appropriate governing body (NMC/HCPC,Social Work England).

Access regular clinical supervision, management supervision, and multi-disciplinary team meetings/case discussions.

  • Registered nurse or allied health professional with at least 2 years experience and knowledge of autonomously assessing and diagnosing Autism.

  • Good knowledge of legislation, research and developments relevant to the field of Autism
