Main duties of the job

  • Prescribe medication to patient
  • Be able to request and interpret X-rays
  • Must have Orthopaedic experience
  • Manage Follow up patients appointment
  • Work closely with consultants
  • Experience of frailty and the ageing process and its impact on patients physical, psychological and social needs and care needs and common orthopaedic problems
  • Work within agreed national and local procedures and guideline
  • Undertake advanced MSK/Orthopaedic physical assessment and history taking in order to reach diagnosis and management plan for healthcare problems and conditions
  • Request/perform diagnostic interventions, treatments as required, initiating appropriate management
  • Critically analyse and synthesize complex assessment data for sound decision making
