Job summary

Reporting to the Hospital Director, you'll ensure the successful operation of Berkshire Independent Hospital, taking responsibility for the non-clinical departments which underpin our ability to provide excellent care to patients. With a focus on innovation, you'll ensure that our services deliver the highest standards, whilst meeting budgetary requirements and business deadlines.

Main duties of the job

* Management experience with proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams * Effective written and verbal communication skills * A flexible, can do, innovative approach to your work * Strong planning and organisational skills * Demonstrate financial and commercial acumen (ideally through previous P&L responsibility) * Strong computer skills (MS Office package) * Qualification in management or similar qualification - desirable * Previous private health experience would be an advantage

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic, and progressive senior leadership team as Berkshire Independent Hospital's Operations Manager. Reporting to the Hospital Director, you'll ensure the successful operation of Berkshire Independent Hospital, taking responsibility for the non-clinical departments which underpin our ability to provide excellent care to patients. As our Operations Manager you'll be expected to build and develop key relationships with stakeholders across the business, supporting our central functions to deliver and implement commercial strategies and systems. Where you'll be based The Berkshire Independent Hospital is a private hospital which opened in March 1993. Berkshire is a 40 bedded hospital which has three operating theatres and a dedicated endoscopy unit, providing care to patients with private medical insurance, self-pay patients, and NHS patients. Surgical specialities include orthopaedics, with a full range of procedures being undertaken. The service is supported by full range of diagnostic services MRI, X-ray and Physiotherapy.
