Job summary
The post holder
will assist in the safe, efficient and accurate aseptic compounding of
parenteral products, as well as other relevant duties such as equipment and
facility management, environmental monitoring, stock counts, expiry date
checking and general stock management.
Main duties of the job
Assist in the safe and accurate aseptic preparation and dispensing of cytotoxic, hazardous, and monoclonal products in accordance with SOPs and GMP.
Assemble trays for aseptic compounding, including raw materials, consumables, and labels, and perform in-process checks.
Support workload prioritisation by communicating effectively with senior staff.
Provide daily top-up services to the Aseptic Services Unit and manage sundries orders.
Ensure accurate and timely charging of aseptically prepared products.
Participate in environmental monitoring, cleaning, and quality assurance activities within the aseptic unit.
Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to best practice in aseptic services.
Assist with stock management, including ordering, storage, expiry date checking, and stock rotation.
Receive, unpack, and correctly store medicines and consumables, ensuring appropriate documentation and quarantine where required.

- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
