MITU is a fast paced day case environment supporting a varied caseload across Ophthalmology, Plastics, Gynaecology and Urology. It is a great opportunity to work closely with experienced Consultants and a well established theatre team, delivering high quality patient care throughout the perioperative pathway.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the delivery of safe, high-quality care in the Operating Department, with a particular focus on Urology, Gynaecology and ENT procedures. Working as part of the MITU teams, the Scrub Practitioner will prepare, manage, and maintain surgical equipment, support the surgical team during procedures, and uphold the highest standards of perioperative practice.
The role involves direct patient care, quality improvement activities, mentorship of junior staff, and active participation in service development.
