Production Technician/ Pharmacy Technician

Job responsibilities

You will be actively involved in day-to-day aseptic compounding, quality assurance activities, environmental monitoring, stock management, and supervision of junior staff. You will play a key part in ensuring timely and accurate production of cytotoxic and monoclonal therapies, supporting our commitment to exceptional patient care.

Key Duties:

• Supervise aseptic compounding activities and junior staff in the cleanroom environment
• Prepare and compound cytotoxic, hazardous and monoclonal products in line with GMP and SOPs
• Perform in-process volume checks and final release of aseptically prepared products (as appropriate)
• Maintain aseptic equipment, isolators, and environmental monitoring processes
• Assist in quality improvement projects and report out-of-specification results
• Manage top-up services, tray assembly and accurate documentation
• Participate in on-call, weekend and bank holiday rotas for out-of-hours production
• Support training and supervision of new and junior staff
• Skills and Experience:
• GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician (or equivalent accreditation)
• Previous experience in an aseptic services unit or sterile compounding environment
• Strong understanding of GMP and SOPs in a healthcare or manufacturing setting
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Able to manage workload and prioritise tasks in a dynamic team
• Experience in supervising junior staff and supporting training is desirable
• Proficient in stock management systems and documentation processes
• Willingness to work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays as required
