Job Title: Healthcare Assistant - Band 3 Department: Main Theatres Salary: Dependant on experience Contract Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Rota-based early/late shifts Monday to Sunday About Us Founded in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest and most established independent charitable hospitals. Our 10 operating theatres are equipped to deliver advanced procedures across multiple specialties including Neuro-Spinal, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Thoracic, Plastics and Maxillo-Facial, Robotics (Gynae, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics), Ophthalmic and Vascular. The Role In this role, you will support the smooth running of our operating theatres by assisting patients before, during and after their procedures, and helping the clinical team to deliver exceptional care. Your day will involve preparing theatres for surgery, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready, escorting patients safely, and supporting nurses and ODPs during operations. You will play a hands-on part in maintaining a safe, efficient and reassuring environment where patients receive the highest standard of care. Key Responsibilities
Support the theatre team with safe preparation and turnover of operating roomsAssist patients with personal care and provide reassurance before and after proceduresMaintain stock levels, prepare equipment and uphold infection control standardsEscort patients to and from theatres, liaising with wards and recovery areasWork collaboratively with the wider team to promote patient dignity, privacy and safety Skills and Experience
