Job Profile As a Sample Reception Team Leader you will ensure that all samples received are processed in a timely manner according to laboratory protocol. To supervise section staff and to lead in developing role of the MLAs in the laboratory.
Job Type: This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. Key Duties
Ensure that all samples are processed in a timely fashion and adequate turnaround times are maintained. Undertake preliminary preparation of specimens as required. Supervise the area's medical laboratory assistants, ensuring they are given training and competency testing at regular intervals. Ensure the extended working day is covered by an appropriate number of suitably trained staff. To be able to follow laboratory procedures and to use own discretion to prioritise own work.
