The Role We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse to join our highly skilled team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy, patient-focused service that provides exceptional care across the full endoscopy pathway, from pre-assessment and procedures to recovery and safe discharge. You will use your specialist endoscopy knowledge and clinical expertise to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care. This hands-on role requires confidence to rotate across all areas of the unit, with opportunities to support service development and mentor junior colleagues. This role is based on an internal rotation contract, working a variety of shift patterns between Monday and Friday, 07:30 to 20:00. Key Duties
Deliver safe and effective nursing care across all areas of the Endoscopy Unit Support patients and their families through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery Supervise and mentor junior staff, students, and HCAs Administer medications and assist with specimens and biopsies Participate in the Endoscopy on-call service Ensure compliance with infection prevention and health and safety policies Contribute to audit, research, and continuous quality improvement initiatives Skills and Experience
Registered Nurse (NMC) Proven endoscopy nursing experience is essential Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure A collaborative, flexible, and caring approach with a commitment to patient-centred care Willingness to rotate through all areas of the Endoscopy Unit and participate in on-call duties Benefits We offer a range of benefits including flexible working and great career opportunities.
