We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Oncology Inpatients team at The London Clinic on a part-time basis. This permanent position is for an average of 23 hours per week, worked flexibly across the month. Hours will be split as follows:
23 hours per week for three weeks5 hours in the fourth weekTotal monthly hours: 80.5 This role will follow a rotational shift pattern, including long days, weekends and nights, providing flexibility while ensuring continuity of care for our patients. Location: Duchess of Devonshire Wing, The London Clinic, MaryleboneContract: Permanent, part time - average of 23 hours per weekWorking Pattern: Rotational long-day shifts, weekends and nightsFTE Salary: £37,530 - £48,063 per annumPro-rata Salary: Approximately £22,518 - £28,838 per annum (based on 23 hours per week) As a Staff Nurse, you will care for adult oncology inpatients receiving a range of treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and end-of-life care. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, individualised care that meets the complex needs of patients and their families. Key Duties:
Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatmentMonitor and manage treatment-related symptoms and side effectsContribute to assessment, planning and evaluation of individual care plansWork under the supervision of SACT-trained staff and work towards achieving SACT competenciesSupport patients and families with compassion, sensitivity and professionalismMaintain high standards of infection prevention and controlParticipate in audits, reflective practice and quality improvement initiatives Skills and Experience:
NMC Registered Nurse (Adult)Experience in an acute oncology or medical ward settingIV administration skills or willingness to complete trainingStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a teamA genuine interest in oncology and commitment to ongoing professional development Why join us?
