We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Safety and Compliance Officer to join our Clinical Governance team at The London Clinic, in Marylebone. This is an important role supporting patient safety and regulatory compliance across the hospital, helping us uphold high standards of care. About us Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest independently owned non-profit hospital, with state-of-the-art facilities located on Harley Street. We have circa 1200 employees, a total of 8 premises, and we are dedicated to providing the best, personalised healthcare with a breadth of surgical and medical expertise. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 234 beds and 10 theatres. Other premises include, The Duchess of Devonshire Wing (Cancer Centre), The London Clinic Eye Centre and 4 premises providing consulting room suites and diagnostic services. About the role You'll work closely with the Patient Safety Manager to support the administration and coordination of key safety and compliance processes. This includes supporting incident investigations, communicating safety messages, tracking improvement actions, and maintaining our internal reporting systems. The role offers real variety and the chance to work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams, contributing to meaningful improvements in patient outcomes. It's a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, a working knowledge of governance or compliance frameworks, and the confidence to build relationships across different teams. Location: The London Clinic, 1 Park Square West, London Contract: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) Salary: £34,715 - £39,000 - depending on experience Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Hybrid Working: 3 days onsite Benefits package:

This role would suit someone with a strong background in healthcare administration, a proactive approach to managing workload, and a keen interest in patient safety and quality improvement. A solid understanding of the pillars of clinical governance, including the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), will be important. Key Duties:
Support the management of safety incidents under PSIRF, helping ensure robust reporting, investigations and learning.Coordinate weekly safety communications and help drive forward improvement actions with clinical teams.Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient safety activity.Work with the Clinical Governance Analyst to support the DatixWeb system.Help monitor compliance with key clinical quality standards and KPIs.Assist with planning and tracking improvement initiatives that improve patient outcomes.Provide general administrative support to the Governance team and contribute to wider governance and safety projects. Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a healthcare governance, patient safety or compliance support roleStrong administrative and IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Clear understanding of clinical governance or patient safety principlesExcellent communication and organisational skillsAble to manage competing priorities and work independentlyExperience using DatixWeb or similar incident reporting systemsKnowledge of CQC compliance and regulatory frameworksExperience supporting investigations or compiling assurance reports Why apply?
