An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rotational Pharmacy Technical Officer to join our Pharmacy Team at the London Clinic. This opportunity is based at our Main Hospital, 20 Devonshire Place, London, where the successful candidate will get to join our expanding multidisciplinary Pharmacy team.
Job Description
Rotational Assistant Technical Officer is an exciting role where the post holder will carry out a range of duties. Covering areas of the pharmacy department including dispensary, distribution and procurement to provide an efficient and comprehensive pharmacy service. The post holder will assist in reception duties when required (10am to 5.30pm), dispensing of medicines, receipt and unpacking of medicines, distribution of stock, assist in the ordering, stock management, invoice processes, assemble IV fluids and the return of medicines.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities Reception duties; Receive outpatient prescriptions, transcriptions and TTOs from the wards and entry of prescriptions details onto computer system (tracker) as per procedure.Answer the dispensary telephone and deal with ensuing queries.Process credits on pharmacy computer systemMaintain effective stock control including expiry date checks and appropriate storage of materials and products.Work alongside the experienced technicians and become familiar with how to manage the smooth workflow of the dispensary.To provide a top up service to allocated wards and departmentsAssemble ward stock for final checkingIssue stock on hospital computer systemUnpacking orders and putting stock away ensuring appropriate stock rotation including expiry checksWorking along other pharmacy technical staff to ensure smooth interfaces between all pharmacy servicesBooking in of stock and processing returnsOrder and top up department stationery and sundries The London Clinic has charitable status which is fundamental to our identity and how we operate, enabling our teams to invest in treatments, technology and facilities that benefit our patients, staff and the wider community.
