Job responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Clinical programmes to join our Operations Team here at The London Clinic. This role is a based in our offices on 20 Devonshire Place, London (W1G 6HL). We are offering a competitive salary. Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, with 8 state-of-the-art facilities located in the heart of London's medical community around Harley Street. Job Profile As the Head of Clinical Programmes, you will be responsible for leading the development, operational planning, and delivery of strategic clinical initiatives across the hospital. This role is central to driving service innovation, business development, and successful programmes that transition efficiently to the operational teams for ongoing management.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position.
  • Shift Pattern: 37.5 Hours per week working 5 days from 7
  • Job Location: 5 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6HL (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations).

  • Lead the development, coordination, and delivery of strategic clinical programmes that are aligned with The London Clinic's goals.
  • Drive initiatives that support community impact, clinical efficiency, and care pathway redesign.
  • Shape and present comprehensive business cases to support service transformation and investment decisions.
  • Maintain strategic oversight of all programmes, ensuring alignment with operational capacity and broader healthcare priorities.
  • Skills & Experience
  • Degree in a relevant field such as healthcare management, nursing, project management, or a clinical discipline.
  • Proven track record of leading complex clinical programmes or service transformation projects within a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering robust business cases in partnership with clinicians and hospital leaders to support service redesign or capital investment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing productivity oneself and via collaboration with other team members.
