Job summary

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse within our Oncology and Haematology Outpatients Department at The London Clinic's prestigious Duchess of Devonshire Wing, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and expert care to patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT). Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, and administration of chemotherapy treatments in a busy outpatient setting.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse within the Haemato-Oncology Outpatients Unit (Level 3), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure effective coordination of outpatient services, support clinical and professional development of junior staff, and maintain compliance with NMC standards. The role requires strong clinical skills, particularly in oncology, the ability to manage patient care autonomously, and a commitment to continuous improvement through education, mentorship, and service development. You will also contribute to clinical governance, uphold patient safety, and act as a professional ambassador for The London Clinic.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Oncology & Haematology Outpatients Department. This role is based in our Duchess of Devonshire Wing in Central London (W1G 6JA). We are also offering a competitive salary of £37,000 - £43,000 per annum plus a fantastic array of benefits.

Job Profile

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) over four long days (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:00pm) - with no weekend or night shifts, offering excellent work-life balance for skilled and motivated oncology nurses. This role is ideally suited to candidates with proven chemotherapy experience and valid SACT and UKONS Passports, looking to develop their career in a centre of excellence for cancer care.

Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £37,000 to £43,000 per annum
