Job summary
The Head of Operations - Cancer Services is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational functions of the services. The Head of Operations, Cancer Services will collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Clinical Operations Director, the Chief Nurse, the Head of Nursing: Cancer Services and our consultants, to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
Main duties of the job
* Lead the operational management and delivery of cancer care services, which includes oncology, Heamatology, radiotherapy, molecular imaging and therapies, administration, MDT teams and end of life care. To provide high performing and effective services that are responsive to patient and consultant needs.
* Oversee the end to end pathway, including booking and scheduling, patient access and patient flow through the hospital.
* Ensure that services are delivered effectively, efficiently and within financial budgets.
* Participate in the Silver On-Call rota. The Head will demonstrate an open, visible and collaborative leadership style, which is underpinned by the values of The London Clinic, 'we go further, we work as one and we personalise care'.
* Accountable for delivering the strategic objectives, promoting innovation, supporting operational excellence and capitalising on growth opportunities across the services.

The postholder will provide leadership and support to staff working within the Cancer Care, Care group including radiographers, nurses, physicists, technologists and consultants, to develop a culture of clinical excellence, effectiveness, with continuous improvement of the patient, staff and consultant experience.

Skills and experience
Registered professional or degree level qualification with relevant experience.
Postgraduate in health/management/business related course, or evidence of continuing professional development.
Extensive experience at senior level in a healthcare environment, including a sound understanding of the performance requirements of delivering operational services.Significant experience in developing and improving clinical and operational services and teams.Understanding of private healthcare market and opportunities and challenges in the delivery of healthcare in the independent sector.Strong relationship building and ability to influence with both internal and external senior stakeholders, including exec board level.
