Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our Pathology team based at The London Clinic in central London, W1G 6BW. With a competitive salary range on offer of £51,011 - £59,387 inclusive per annum depended on skills and experience. The London Clinic Pathology department is committed to providing the best service for our users. We are accredited by UKAS under the ISO15189:2012 standard and our stem cell service is accredited by JACIE and regulated by the HTA.

Main duties of the job

* To assist the chief biomedical scientist in allocating and co-ordinating the routine work of the department, ensuring that staff deployment maximises the use of available resources. * To be able to set up new protocols and antibodies on the Ventana Benchmark Ultra, in accordance to the batch acceptance, verifications and validation laboratory procedures. * To be responsible for all UKNEQAS IHC submissions, monitor results, take any corrective or preventative actions, feedback to the Chief BMS and at monthly staff meetings. * To be able to troubleshooting the Benchmark Ultra and monitor trends of IHC staining in-house. * To be responsible for internal and external quality assurance, staff training, maintenance of up-to-date techniques and written protocols and procedures.
