Main duties of the job

Working as a Bank Oncology Nurse is a highly flexible option which pays highly competitive hourly rates, up to £37.88 per hour (Sunday rates are £40.58 per hour). Key Duties As an Oncology and/or Haematology Nurse, you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care, ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered to our patients. Provide efficient, effective and evidence-based nursing care to cancer patients. Administer chemotherapy and other anti-cancer treatments. We have opportunities within our; Oncology Inpatients Unit - Comprises of 18 beds, all in separate, private en-suite rooms. We treat a range of cancers at The London Clinic including; Brain, Pancreatic, Cervical, Head & Neck, Bowel, Lung, Prostate, Bladder, Neuroendocrine, Skin, and Uterine cancer. Oncology & Haematology Outpatients Unit - Comprises of 22 individual areas for outpatient treatment. It also has two fully enclosed private rooms for outpatients who require extra privacy during their treatment. Our patients attend for day case chemotherapy and related treatments and/or consultant appointments. We currently have 5 apheresis machines, where donors/ patients attend for peripheral blood stem cell donation. Stem Cell Transplantation Unit - Purpose-built facility which features positive pressure ventilation and HEPA filtration and allows us to treat and care for patients with serious blood disorders and blood cancers.There are 12 beds in the unit.
