We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner (Band 6) to join our Operating Theatres team based at The London Clinic's main hospital in Central London, W1G 6BW. We are offering an inclusive salary range of £46,201 - £53,187 per annum + 10% unsociable hours shift enhancements. Job Type: full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours p/week. Shift Pattern: 5x shifts p/week; Monday to Sunday. We operate a mixed shift pattern of; Early & Late shifts, with participation

Main duties of the job

As part of the multidisciplinary team the Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without direct supervision, and expected to supervise qualified and unqualified staff. Key Duties Provide cover in all clinical areas where anaesthesia, local, regional and sedations are performed including Endoscopy, Radiology as well as our Minimally invasive theatres and main theatres. Work as a skilled member of the anaesthetic team, providing the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload, whilst aiding and supporting the anaesthetic physician / consultant anaesthetists. Devise, implement and assess individualised care plans for a wide and diverse patient group, and promoting best evidence-based practice. Supervise and support members of the anaesthetic team ensuring that all staff are able to provide the highest standard of care. In the absence of the Charge Nurse/ODP you will have continuing responsibility for the management of the Anaesthetic department, including the deployment of staff and the use of equipment and resources. Ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment, as well as promoting, maintaining and monitoring standards in accordance with the guidelines of the NMC/HCPC and CQC.
