Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mammographer to join our Imaging team based at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 6BW, with a salary range of £48,998 - £58,790 inclusive per annum on offer dependent on skills and experience.
This role is to assist in the provision of a breast imaging service, performing mammograms and further views, assisting with VAB (stereo and US), assisting with US procedures, chaperoning US patients, contrast -enhanced mammography.
Main duties of the job
* Act as an Operator under IR(ME)R 2017 regulations, assess clinical justification of referrals to ensure that the benefit to the patient outweighs the radiation risk associated with the examination.
* Act as a patient and staff advocate by minimising their exposure to radiation.
* Provide efficient and courteous provision of radiographic services to the departments agreed standards whilst taking into account the patient's clinical, physical and cultural needs.
* Communicate with referrers and radiologists any referral queries after assessing clinical justification for an x-ray examination against IR(ME)R and local protocols, prior to undertaking the examination.
