An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Director of Clinical Services at Stockton Hall. Reporting into the Hospital Director, the Director of Clinical Services (DoCS) forms part of the hospital Senior Management Team and is responsible for the clinical services operation (nursing and therapy) within the hospital. The post holder will ensure the highest level of patient care is provided to all patients.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Senior Management team you will carry out on-call duties as directed by the Hospital Director.
You will have experience of working at a supervisory or managerial level within a mental health environment; minimum 2 years working as a Ward Manager or equivalent.
You will have experience of managing a clinical budget in addItion to leading, implementing and reviewing quality initiatives in a related environment.
A requirement is for you to be registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professions Council and have a recognised post-registration qualification together with full membership / accreditation of a relevant professional institution and evidence of continuous professional development.
A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential as well as a passion for providing high quality care and continuous improvement.

As DoCS you will play a key part in developing and delivering the hospital strategy, providing operational and clinical leadership to the team.
You will ensure delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators.
You will provide leadership, organisation and co-ordination to ensure effective clinical governance.
You will be responsible for the implementation of effective clinical interventions and ensure that treatment is designed to enhance the operation and quality of clinical services and is aligned to best practice.
You will manage the delivery of the clinical services business plan ensuring the effective and efficient management and control of staffing, budgets, materials and equipment.
You will promote an effective working relationship across the multidisciplinary teams.
You will be accountable for ensuring timely completion and implementation of action plans in respect of regulatory and corporate requirements.
You will be responsible for reviewing staffing on a daily basis, ensuring compliance against the staffing ladders as well as ensuring the staffing models are adhered to in the clinical services team, maintaining safe staffing levels.
You will manage and develop a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
You will ensure clinical services comply with statutory regulations and current legislation meets quality standards and deliver against key performance indicators.
