Main duties of the job

As a dietitian at Priory Hospital Southampton, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing dietary interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of our patients on our eating disorder ward.You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans that promote health and well-being. Your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life and promoting positive outcomes for our patients.

Our team are dedicated to providing exceptional inpatient treatment for various mental health difficulties. Located in the tranquil Marchwood area, on the picturesque outskirts of Southampton, our facility boasts 44 inpatient beds across three specialized wards:

- Sandpiper Ward: A 18-bed adult acute ward for men and women.

- Skylark Ward: An 13-bed ward focusing on the treatment of eating disorders.

- Starling Ward: A 13-bed adult acute ward for men and women.

Conducting thorough nutritional assessments and developing personalized dietary plans for patients.

Providing evidence-based nutrition counselling and education to individuals and groups.

Collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care delivery.

Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
