- Providing clinical supervision for the ward team.

- Implementing best practice throughout the ward.

- Support changes within the service.

- Participate fully with the clinical team.

- Manage communications between the medical and nursing staff

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a qualified and experienced RMN/RNLD to support the Ward Manager

The approach to care delivery for our patient follows the Positive Behavioural Support approach (PBS). PBS is a positive and proactive evidence-based approach to manage challenging behaviour. All staff working on Mersey Lodge receive PBS training provided as well as ongoing support and development.

The team on the ward work hard to ensure the highest standard of care for our service users and need a supportive Deputy Ward Manager to help with various aspects of the care delivered.The teams consist of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Speciality Doctor, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Mental Health Nurses and experienced Healthcare Assistants who form the Multidisciplinary teams.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced RMN/RNLD to support the Ward Manager and team on our Mersey Lodge unit in the capacity of a Deputy Ward Manager.

Mersey Lodge is a purpose-built new unit for a young patient which provides a bespoke package of high quality care within an innovative setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in developing and delivering of treatment, which has been specifically designed to meet the needs of our patient. This role will provide the you with a unique career experience and the chance to develop their skills as part of the team.

I am a young man looking for a Registered Learning Disability Nurse/Registered Mental Health Nurse to support me and help promote my independence, so I can successfully live in the community.

I am looking for an individual who is calm, patient and skilled in verbal and non- verbal communication. I would also like my nursing staff to provide support within my apartment, especially with therapeutic and sensory activities.

I am focusing on being comfortable with people in my apartment, (which is in a hospital). I am interested in films and music, so I would like someone who can talk about those things. I enjoy playing football with my nursing staff and doing exercises, but sometimes I do like the environment to be quiet and I like to have my space.
