Job summary

Located within picturesque grounds, Priory Hospital Hemel Hempstead supports the NHS by offering level 2 rehabilitation services for male and female patients with severe and enduring mental health needs.

We also provide specialist Huntington's disease and dementia care for people living with these neurodegenerative conditions, as well as neuropsychiatry support.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

• Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patients rehabilitation / progress. 
• Ensure the effective and efficient management and control of junior staff.
• Maintains and develops close working relationships with other professionals within the multidisciplinary team, to ensuring that clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and comply with statutory regulations and quality standards. 
• Contributes to business growth by actively promoting Priorys therapy service, in line with the local units business plan.
