As a PBS Practitioner, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

Set in a semi-rural location in Hook, Hampshire, Priory Hospital Mildmay Oaks supports the NHS by providing low secure services and level 2 rehabilitation services for both male and female patients. The hospital provides a range of specialist services, including a 26-bed Rehabilitation and Recovery (R&R) service for male and female patients aged 18+, a 14-bed low secure unit for male patients aged 18+, and bespoke therapeutic placements (BTPs) for adults and young people across the site.

- Were looking for a candidate with a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or a related field, such as a degree in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Applied Behaviour Analysis, or Autism Studies. You should have experience carrying out behavioural assessments and designing, implementing, and reviewing effective interventions for individuals who may display behaviours of concern.
- You will bring hands-on experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism, along with a solid understanding of key frameworks such as the Mental Health Act (1983), safeguarding, and risk management. The role requires someone who is resilient and able to work in both physically and emotionally demanding environments.
- Strong leadership skills are important, alongside the ability to produce clear, accurate written reports and maintain high-quality records. Experience in delivering PBS training and a proven track record of reducing restrictive practices will be highly valued.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are also essential.
