Priory Beach Houseis looking to recruit a Support Worker to join their team. This is a full time time role.
- Pay: £12.90 per hour
- Hours: 36 Hours full time position, 7am to 7pm (weekend work included)
- As driving residents in the community will be a part of this role, the successful Support Worker will have a full UK driving licence and will have held this for 3+ years.
Beach House is House is situated on a quiet street, located between the Branksome and Parkstone areas of Poole. Our home offers assessment and residential support for seven males and females who have a learning disability and who may be on the autism spectrum. We can also support people with complex conditions and communication difficulties.
Main duties of the job

As aSupport Worker,you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, youll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
- Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
- Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
- Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
- Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
- Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
