Job summary

Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit an occupational therapy assistant to join the team on our acute ward. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours based on site.

Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.

  • The postholder must hold GCSEs/O-Levels (AC), a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification, or equivalent experience. This is an entry-level role; however, experience working in a health and social care setting is desirable. The role holder will support the OT or SOTA in completing initial assessments and checklists and will be expected to facilitate a range of group sessions, including psychoeducational, DBT-informed, goal-setting, and life skills groups. Experience or training in autism support, DBT skills, and life skills development would be desirable, alongside the ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
