Job summary

As a deputy ward manager, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- First level Registered Nurse (RMN)
- Clinical supervision experience is essential, training is desirable
- Evidence of CPD and intent to maintain and develop CPD and leadership.

Main duties of the job

To be successful as a Deputy Ward Manager, you will need to be a first-level Registered Nurse (RMN) with clinical supervision experience, while training in this area is desirable. Evidence of continued professional development (CPD) and a commitment to maintaining and developing both CPD and leadership skills are essential. Good computer skills and experience in Acute Mental Health are also required. Additionally, you should have at least three years, or equivalent, post-registration experience. Mentorship experience is desirable, although training can be provided.
