Job summary
The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, a hydrotherapy pool, patient practice kitchens, patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas. Priory Hospital Cardiff is a 3 Bed Bespoke Therapeutic Placement service.
Main duties of the job
The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced Multi-Disciplinary Team to oversee and support patient progress. As a Registered Psychologist youll work alongside colleagues from Psychiatry, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Social Work to provide high quality care. The Psychologist we are looking for will be experienced in assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users. A background in Positive Behaviour Support would be beneficial. The role will also include providing training to staff, running reflective practice, writing risk assessments and providing individual and group interventions, to meet the needs of the population.
