Job summary
Priory Hospital Stockton Hall is looking to recruit a Physical Healthcare Nurse to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week. Roman Ward is a recently opened 12 bed Medium Secure ward within the well-established and highly regarded Stockton Hall Hospital. The service is for men who have a principal diagnosis of mental illness, including severe and enduring mental illness, and have acute or chronic complex physical health needs.
We are looking for two experienced RGNs to join our team. The successful candidates will bring their knowledge to the nursing team and wider MDT in understanding and meeting the patients physical health needs. This is a unique opportunity for an RGN to gain experience working with patients with complex mental health problems in a medium secure environment. The post-holder will be expected to work shifts and take nurse in charge responsibilities.

You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
- To provide support to the Nursing and wider MDTs in ensuring the patients in the defined area have their physical healthcare nursing needs identified, care planned and evaluated in accordance with best practice and clinical evidence
- Provide advice and support to colleagues at the site regarding physical healthcare needs in general terms; this includes Infection control, screening programmes andsite specific requirements, depending on the clinical speciality
