Day shift times 07:25 am - 19:45 pm

Night shift - 19:25 pm - 07:45 am

Our Healthcare Division offers a variety of services including Mental Health, Addictions, Brain Injury and Rehabilitation and Recovery treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Support our residents with in-house activities and hobbies
  • Providing support to achieve every day goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
  • Manage some behaviours that challenge
  • Assistant and support to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
  • Provide emotional support to individuals and their families
  • Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks
  • Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual
  • Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
  • Analyse an individuals needs and draw up a focused support plan

Priory Stockton Hall is a long-serving medium secure hospital based in a quiet but well-connected village near the historic city of York. It serves the local Provider Collaborative and multiple National Collaboratives, and has had a long-running record of successful patient pathways. Were seeking individuals experienced in a similar setting to supervise colleagues, administer medication, lead support planning, manage petty cash and client funds, and act as the point of contact in the absence of site leadership. Good numeracy skills are essential as will need to manage monies. No formal care qualifications required; full training provided, but GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English preferred. Candidates should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team Leadership and Management with Priory.

Priory wouldnt exist without combined energy, expertise and effort. We invest heavily in training, provide first-class support, promote collaborative teamwork and give everyone on our team the opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential.

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team alongside our qualified staff, youll help to meet the psychological and emotional needs of a diverse group of individuals, with varying degrees of either mental health or physical issues. Every day, you'll make a positive difference to their lives.

Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.

It would be ideal if you have around 2-5 years previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to peoples lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Not only is full training provided, but there are numerous career pathways available to you, including our Nurse Apprenticeship program.
