Job responsibilities

Directly reporting to the Lead Occupational Therapist, the post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team who treat and care for patients requiring the level of security that can be maintained within a medium secure unit.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patients whilst exercising by ensuring correct and safe exercise techniques whilst in the gym and within groups. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to accurately document within the electronic medical notes the progress of patients, provide comprehensive verbal updates to other professionals within the clinical team and facilitate sports/exercise groups either on site or in the community.

If you are successful, you will be expected to complete a full two weeks induction upon starting with us at Priory and these occur on the first two weeks of every month. If you have to work a notice with your current employer, we recommend you do not hand your notice in until we are able to provide a start date to ensure a smooth transition between companies.

Qualifications

Essential

• The role holder will hold an appropriate Level 3 (Advanced Instructors) qualification and will be registered under the REPS scheme. A first Aid certificate (including cardiopulmonary resuscitation) will be required. A thorough knowledge of the part played by diet and nutrition in health is
• essential for this role.
