About the Role

Youll be part of an experienced and supportive team delivering personalised, one-to-one support to children and young people across a variety of settings: at home, in schools, and within the community. Our clients may be experiencing a range of needs, including suspected or diagnosed neurodiversity, mental health challenges, trauma, and behaviours considered complex or high-risk.

In this role, you will:

Build trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families.

Deliver structured support plans tailored to each individuals needs.

Work closely with clinicians and support colleagues to ensure a joined-up, consistent approach.

Contribute to assessments and interventions under the guidance of our Clinical Lead.

Promote positive behaviour, emotional resilience, and personal development in young people.

Maintain accurate and professional records, using digital tools and systems.

This is a varied and rewarding position, ideal for someone confident working independently, while also valuing team collaboration.

Essential skills and qualities:

Experience working with children or young people with additional or complex needs

Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal

An understanding of safeguarding

Confidence in using IT systems and digital tools

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across the region

Essential

• Work flexibly and adapt to suit service need.
• The ability to travel independently across the organisational footprint.
• Access to a vehicle and a willingness to travel.

Experience

Essential

• Experience of working with children and young people with a Learning Disability/Autism/Mental Health.

Desirable

• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in supporting Functional/Psychological Assessments.

Qualifications

Desirable

• Degree in Psychology or related field.
• Evidence of continued professional development.

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels, with individuals, groups, organisations and the public.
• Ability to deal calmly and effectively with conflict.
• Ability to work with groups from different backgrounds and cultures.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines amid a range of competing demands.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work flexibly to overcome challenges.
• Ability to collate and analyse data to ensure the effectiveness of service outputs.
• The ability to support the IPS team independently, with the understanding of when to escalate situations
• Effective computer literacy skills, including use of Microsoft Office

Desirable

• Sound knowledge of relevant performance frameworks, quality standards, legal and ethical frameworks.
